The Story of the House

Nestled in the heart of Palinuro, our home tells a story that spans over 40 years. It was lovingly built by our dear grandfather Roberto, who came from a family of builders. He didn’t just oversee the construction — he personally shaped every square meter with his own skilled hands. His deep passion for nature still lives on in the lush garden surrounding the house — a little corner of paradise filled with rare and unique plants, once cared for by him and now lovingly maintained by his son Salvatore. By Roberto’s side for more than 50 years of marriage was our grandmother Maddalena. Together, they watched the house evolve over time, always adapting to the family’s needs while preserving its warm and welcoming atmosphere. At first, it was the perfect haven for them and their two children, Ortensia and Salvatore, later becoming a vibrant setting for dinners and celebrations with friends and relatives. The large wood-fired oven in the garden and the spacious kitchen with a sea view have always been the beating heart of the home — places where good food and joyful company were never missing. This house has seen generations grow, served as a safe haven, and stood as a symbol of unity for the Izzo family. Today, we want to share this magic with you.
